LAWYERS FOR DENIS O’Brien have contacted the website Broadsheet.ie, asking for a post which includes a screenshot of a satirical Waterford Whispers article, to be removed.

The post was published last night and is entitled “Meanwhile, In a Parallel Universe.”

It also contains an image of the letter sent by O’Brien’s solicitors to Waterford Whispers publisher Colm Williamson yesterday, asking him to take down the original article.

The businessman’s legal team today asked Broadsheet for all references to their post to be immediately taken down from the site, as well as Twitter and Facebook.

It is understood their client gave instructions to take all necessary steps to protect his rights if this was not done.

Broadsheet has not removed the post.
