Infidelity

Trump says Bill Clinton is 'the worst abuser of women in the history of politics'

He also defended himself as a great supporter of women, except for Rosie O’Donnell.

DONALD TRUMP HAS hit out at Hillary Clinton’s husband Bill in his latest attack on his main rival in the US presidential race.

The presumptive Republican nominee has been speaking about Bill’s infidelities, in particular his impeachment over the Monica Lewinsky affair. (The former US President was ultimately acquitted in the Senate.)

At a speech in Spokane, Washington yesterday, Trump said of Hillary:

She’s married to a man who was the worst abuser of women in the history of politics. She’s married to a man who hurt many women … Hillary hurt many women – the women that he abused.

“She’s married to a man who got impeached for lying. He was impeached and he had to go through a whole big process and it wasn’t easy. He was impeached for lying about what happened with a woman.”

Political correctness

At a later rally in Lynden, not far from the Canadian border, Trump said: “Do you remember the famous [line], ‘I did not have sex with that woman?’ … Then a couple of months later, ‘I’m guilty.’ And she’s taking [out] negative ads on me?”

He added that political correctness has resulted in men being “petrified to speak to women”.

Trump also defended himself as a great supporter of women and sought to downplay past comments he’s made about women. He said some of the remarks were made in the name of entertainment, while others, like his criticism of actress and talk show host Rosie O’Donnell, were warranted.

“Who the hell wouldn’t speak badly about Rosie O’Donnell? She’s terrible,” he said.
