Three arrests after late night Longford car chase that ended in crash

The chase ended at Goshen Cross.

THREE PEOPLE WERE arrested in Longford after a car chase that ended in a crash late last night.

The incident began when gardaí attempted to stop a vehicle that was suspected of being involved in a robbery in Dublin.

The car did not stop and instead drove away from the area being pursued by gardaí. The chase came to an end when the car crashed at Goshen Cross.

Three people were then arrested by gardaí, two women and a juvenile.

Two men and another juvenile were removed to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar where they were treated for minor injuries.

The three arrested were released without charge with gardaí saying a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
