Body of man discovered in Dublin canal

The circumstances of the man’s death are not believed to be suspicious.

THE BODY OF a man has been found in the Grand Canal in Dublin this morning.

Gardaí were alerted to the scene near the Charlemont Luas Stop in Rathmines just after 5am this morning. The body of a man believed to be in his 30s or 40s was retrieved from the canal by emergency services.

The scene this morning is preserved pending a full examination.

It is understood the man’s death is not believed to be suspicious but gardaí based at Pearse Street are investigating all circumstances.
