Rain, rain go away: have the pleas been answered?

Some parts of the country are enjoying some sunshine today, but that rain is never too far away…

IT’S A PROMISING start to the day – in Leinster and Munster at least, but best to keep that umbrella handy, just in case.

Ulster and Connacht haven’t had such a good start with cloud and showers in many parts. Met Eireann is promising good dry intervals in the west though, but the rain will return there tonight.

Leinster is faring much better after yesterday’s incessant downpour with a fairly dry and bright day in store. Tomorrow will be cloudier “with some showery rain in places”. Hmmm….

Munster folk can tentatively put down the umbrellas too, but don’t leave them at home just yet with the showers set to return tomorrow.

But look at this, the latest radar image from Met Eireann for today. That’s a promising sight, right?

Met Eireann is saying that it’s “still not settled for the week ahead” but it is promising some good dry periods for the first half of next week before the rain swoops back in from the Atlantic on Wednesday and Thursday.
