Kim Jong-un's ex-lover executed by firing squad

The former girlfriend of the North Korean leader was killed over a porn scandal she was allegedly involved in.

THE EX-GIRLFRIEND OF the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was killed nine days ago.

It is reported by South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo newspaper that singer Hyon Song-wol was shot dead on August 20 for violating North Korea’s laws against pornography.

The rumoured former lover was one of a number of musicians and singers that were killed after they were accused of videotaping themselves having sex and selling the videos. The tapes have apparently gone on sale in China.

USA Today reports that those accused were treated as political dissidents but adds that report has not been independently verified by other media outlets.

Chosun Ilbo newspaper said it is unclear if Kim’s wife had anything to do with the deaths. It is believed that she was in the same orchestra as Hyon Song-wol before becoming the spouse of the North Korean leader.

It is reported that Kim had known Hyon for about 10 years but that their relationship ended at the orders of Kim Jong Il.
