Louis CK last week admitted to sexual misconduct against numerous women.

AMERICAN COMEDIAN SARAH Silverman has broken her silence about sexual misconduct allegations against one of her “best friends of over 25 years” and fellow comedian Louis CK.

On this week’s episode of I love you, America, Silverman delivered an emotional speech about how difficult it has been to come to terms with the recent news about CK.

“I’ve of course been asked to comment, and in full honesty I really, I really really really, don’t want to,” Silverman said.

“I wish I could sit this one out But… if it’s mentionable, it’s manageable. So, I’m going to address the elephant masturbating in the room.

Silverman said that she’s “very angry for the women he wronged and that culture that enabled” CK’s misconduct, but is also sad because he’s her friend.

One of my best friends of over 25 years, Louis CK, masturbated in front of women. He wielded his power with women in fucked up ways, sometimes to the point where they left comedy entirely.

Last week, CK became the latest of dozens of Hollywood stars to be accused of sexual misconduct.

After the allegations broke in the news, CK released a statement, confirming that the sexual misconduct claims by five women against him “are true” and he “can hardly wrap my head around the scope of hurt I brought on them”.

On 10 November, Silverman’s sister Laura Silverman tweeted allegations that CK masturbated in front of her 20 times around 25 years ago.

“He always invited me to wait outside the motel room door if I wanted. I usually did. But he made it clear the masturbating was gonna happen each morning. Naked on the bed. Sometimes I just read a book in the corner. I did not enjoy it,” Laura Silverman said.

Sarah Silverman said that she “could couch this with heartwarming stories of our friendship and what a great dad [CK] is” but that that’s “totally irrelevant”.

“It’s a real mind f*ck because I love Louis, but Louis did these things. Both of those statements are true, so I just keep asking myself, can you love someone who did bad things? Can you still love them?” Silverman said.

“The only people that matter right now are the victims. They are victims. And they’re victims because of something he did.”
