Woman cyclist dies after crash with articulated truck in Limerick

The woman in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

A FEMALE CYCLIST has died after a collision with an articulated truck in Limerick city.

The crash happened at about 7.30 am this morning at the junction of Rutland Street, Fr. Matthew Bridge and Charlotte’s Quay.

The woman who is believed to be in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has been removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.

The roadway in the area, which gardaí say is close to The Hunt Museum, is closed and diversions are in place.
