RENUA IRELAND LEADER Lucinda Creighton was quick to defend herself when her party was accused of having no policies today.
On foot of an interview with Kathy Sheridan in the Irish Times, the paper’s digital development editor Hugh Linehan said there was “not a policy in sight”.
Creighton quickly responded to his tweet, saying she answered all the questions that were put to her.
Sheridan then stepped in, agreeing with Creighton.
In the interview, Creighton recalls losing the Fine Gael whip two years ago when she voted against the Protection of Life in Pregnancy Bill and says she thinks Fine Gael has essentially morphed in Fianna Fáil.
As the exchange developed, Linehan said he thought the interview was good and invited Creighton to discuss Renua’s policies in a podcast.
Creighton has now responded, saying she’d be delighted to take up Lenihan’s offer.
