A FORTY-FOUR-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Dublin yesterday.
The 37-year-old died in the Mater Hospital yesterday after Gardaí received reports concerning a woman with injuries at a residence at Upper Sherrard Street in Dublin 1 at around 11am.
The man was arrested yesterday afternoon in the city and is currently being detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
A post-mortem is due to take place on the woman’s body later this afternoon.
