I dont have to drive for a living to see plainly that there are only dangerous drivers not dangerous roads, I drive enough to make my point very valid. Anyway i know plenty of people who drive for a living and say the exact same thing!!

Wow. Since you seem to have witnessed the entire thing and know exactly what the circumstances were, maybe you should spend more time talking to the Gardaí and less time posting on the journal.

Unless you actually the know the circumstances of this story I’d keep your mouth shut tbh.

I remember similar reactions by certain people when a local boy of about 18 died in my town a couple of years ago. A lot of people had to eat their words when it turned out that the older father with a child in his car was the one driving dangerously when he crashed into the young lad and not the other way round.

you will see I made no comment about the tragic death last night, my point was to the person who says road works etc are maybe the cause…. I also made the point to the speed of two young guys last night of which I WAS WITNESS too.

And did you report those young fellas to the Gardai, you have some eyesight to be able to tell their age travelling at that speed.

most of the people I see driving like lunatics are middle aged men. such a shame for them to buy big expensive cars without working indicators.

@ Neil , your point makes no sense chronographically as I could spend time talking to Gardai and many others and possibly slip in the odd comment on journal.ie, I dont have to spend all my time figuring out how to do one chore in a day, I have perfected the art of doing many tasks ( maybe not at once ) during daylight hours… now on to you …..

Interesting,I take it you had some way of telling accurately. The main reason for road deaths in this country is road conditions. I have no doubt you saw something but to judge a speed by looking is total nonsence. You could out by as much.as 70kph.
