A heart-melting video of a man singing to his dying wife is going viral

They’ve been married for 73 years.

WE DIDN’T WANT to cry so early on a Tuesday morning, but then we saw this…

Musician Erin Solari shared this video of her grandparents, Laura and Howard, who have been married for 73 years – at 93 years of age, Laura is living out her final days.

Solari writes that she was lucky enough to capture this special moment between them at Laura’s hospice facility:

Howard is singing to her their love song, the song that comforted her when he went away to fight in World War II.

She said that the pair often sang the song (You’ll Never Know, performed by Rosemary Clooney and Harry James) together at family gatherings, but now, her grandmother is too weak to sing.

That doesn’t stop her saying the words to her husband as he sings the song to her:

Solari said that by the time she posted the video to Facebook, her grandmother was able to go home, and was still resting peacefully there.

A lovely couple, and a lovely song.
