Technical glitch temporarily hit PTSB customer salary payments

All salaries were paid before deadline, but there was a delay experienced.

A TECHNICAL GLITCH led to a short delay when TSB was processing some salary payments for customers today – but all payments reached bank accounts before deadline.

The glitch saw the payment system being delayed by about an hour.

A spokesperson from Permanent TSB said that the salaries made it to customers’ accounts ahead of deadline.

He said that traditionally the payments, which were due by close of business today, are paid ahead of schedule.

This meant that when the salary payments experienced a delay, it didn’t stop them reaching the intended customer accounts before the final deadline.

The “minor incident” was “resolved before it became a problem”, he said, and did not affect a significant number of customers.
