Search resumes for crew of capsized cargo vessel off Scotland coast

Search efforts are being coordinated by the Shetland Coastguard.

Updated 10am

A SEARCH OPERATION has resumed this morning off the north coast of Scotland after the cargo vessel Cemfjord capsized yesterday.

After the ship’s hull was discovered yesterday afternoon in the Pentland Firth area, four lifeboats and two helicopters along with other vessels were deployed. Sadly, none of the ship’s crew were located.

This morning the RNLI said the search for the eight person crew of the Cypriot-registered Cemfjord has resumed with four lifeboats in the water.
