Man dead after shooting in Tipperary village

Gardaí have confirmed that the shooting happened at around 6.45am this morning.

A MAN HAS died following a shooting in the Tipperary village of Golden early this morning.

Gardaí have confirmed that the shooting happened at around 6.45am when the 30-year-old man was shot at a house in Golden.

He was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí say that the scene has been preserved for technical examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

There have been no arrests at this stage.
