16-year-old shot by group of men in sectarian hate crime attack

He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A NUMBER OF men assaulted a 16-year-old in North Belfast last night. 

He was shot a number of times by a pellet gun on his upper body.

He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

At this stage police are treating the incident as a sectarian hate crime.

It happened on the Ballygomartin Road at around 10:50pm.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
