Stabbing

56-year-old man dies after stabbing in Dublin

Two men aged 53 and 46 have been arrested in connection with the stabbing.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are investigating all the circumstances surrounding an incident at a flat at Ballybough House this evening.

A 56-year-old man received serious stab wounds at approximately 5.10pm and was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 8.45pm this evening.

Two men aged 53 and 46 have been arrested in connection with this incident are are currently detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4- Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The scene has been preserved for a Garda technical examination. The services of the State Pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau have been requested.
