Do you think smoking and vaping should be banned in shared outdoor spaces?
Spain’s minority left-wing government has approved a draft law that would ban smoking and vaping in more outdoor areas.
A DRAFT LAW has been approved in Spain that would ban smoking and vaping in public outdoor spaces such as parks, beaches and beer gardens.
In a statement, the country’s Ministry of Health said the aim of the proposed law is to “increase smoke-free areas and strengthen protection for children”, along with adapting current legislation “to new products linked to tobacco”.
An indoor smoking ban took effect in Spain from 2011, seven years after Ireland became the first country in the world to introduce a ban of this kind.
While the draft law still requires approval from the Spanish parliament, it got us thinking whether people would support similar smoking restrictions being introduced in Ireland.
