THIS WEEK WE are checking out the extremely simple and clever Trac-Grabber, which you can get for about €60. It’s a handy device to help you get unstuck from mud, sand or snow. Or any other sticky driving situation, really.
What is it?
Trac-Grabber is a gadget that straps to the drive wheels of your car whenever it is stuck and cannot gain traction. The Trac-Grabber helps your car regain or ‘grab’ grip using the power of your own vehicle.
What does it do?
The strap feeds through the spokes in the drive wheel. You then drive in the direction of least resistance and the shortest distance back to more stable ground. The grooved rubber block attached to your wheel digs into the surface to help you get unstuck. Neat.

Why would I want it?
If you live anywhere prone to snow or like to go off-road frequently then this gadget is a great idea to keep in your car in case of emergencies. It is also great if you don’t have four-wheel drive.
