THE WARM WEATHER for the State exams was expected but there was an eerie fog around parts of the country over the past few days and it will be coming back for the weekend.

Tonight is going to see rainfall across some of the country and showers will continue through the night.

Met Éireann says tomorrow will be misty and cloudy and more rain is to be expected in the morning.

The day will get some sunny spells with temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees but showers will be present and some “will turn heavy and possibly thundery”.

Overall the weekend will be cloudy across the country, with warm and humid temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees.

Don’t plan a barbecue however as scattered outbreaks of rain are forecast for Saturday evening and throughout Sunday.
