Gardaí trying to track down witnesses to fatal collision

A young woman in her 20s died in the incident.

GARDAÍ ARE CONTINUING to investigate a fatal road traffic collision in Co Westmeath – and have put out an appeal for witnesses.

Gardaí at Mullingar are investigating the three-vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Hiskinstown, Delvin on 8 October 2016.

Two cars and a truck were involved in the collision.

Two women were fatally injured in the collision, while the male truck driver was uninjured.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses, and say that in particular they are looking to speak to anyone who may have been on the N52 between Delvin and Mullingar between 3pm and 3.30pm on 8 October to contact them.
