1. #TUNISIA: The Islamic State group released a statement claiming responsibility for the seaside massacre in which an Irish mother was killed.

2. #TERROR THREAT: The French Prime Minister warned France faces further attacks after a grisly incident which saw a suspected Islamist pin the severed head of his boss to the gates of a gas factory.

3. #PRIDE: Tens of thousands of people will celebrate the annual Pride Parade in Ireland, just weeks after the historical result in the Marriage Equality referendum. In the US, a court ruling means same-sex couples in all 50 states can now get married.

4. #THE DISAPPEARED:  The bodies of Seamus Wright and Kevin McKee are believed to have been found at a sire in Co Meath yesterday.

5. #NEW YORK: Police shot dead one of the convicted killers who had escaped from a maximum security prison almost three weeks ago.

6. #JAILED: A teenager who left a garda with a broken nose and a scar to her face after driving a stolen car at her has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison, with one year suspended.

7. #YOU DECIDE: The Greek people will be asked to vote on whether or not to accept a bailout deal with the country’s foreign creditors.

8. #DISMISSED: A security guard who was let go after being accused of abandoning his post was awarded €20,000 by the Employment Appeals Tribunal.
