Four astronauts took off aboard a Nasa rocket last night on a long-anticipated journey around the Moon.

NASA’S FIRST MANNED mission to the Moon in more than 50 years launched yesterday, which will take its crew further into space than anyone has gone before.

Four astronauts blasted off aboard a 322-foot rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, where thousands of people gathered to watch.

The 10-day test flight will take the crew on a 685,000-mile journey around the Moon and back to Earth.

While the astronauts won’t land on the Moon, the mission is intended to pave the way for future Moon landings in the coming years.

Scientist Sian Proctor, who attended the launch, said “everybody should be excited,” calling it “a big step for humanity.”

So, we want to ask: Are you interested in space exploration?
