A FEMALE CYCLIST has died after being knocked off her bike in the Templeville Road area of Dublin 6 this afternoon.
Gardaí said the incident happened at around 2.30pm at the junction between Templeville Road and Whitehall Road.
The woman, who was in her 30s, suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a lorry. She was brought to Tallaght Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
A garda spokesman said: ” A post-mortem is to be arranged. No other injuries were reported. Templeville Road was closed for a period of time to facilitate garda forensic collision investigators but has since reopened.
“Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who were in the vicinity of Templeville Road, Whitehall Road and Wellington Road between 2pm and 2.40pm today, to contact them at Terenure Garda Station on 01 666640.
