Poll: Should drivers have to resit a theory test to renew their licence?

It’s suggested that re-taking a driver’s theory test could curb reckless driving

A LABOUR TD has suggested that drivers should take a theory driving test every time they renew their licence as one method to curb reckless driving.

Ciarán Ahern, the transport spokesperson for Labour, suggested that these refresher courses, when drivers renew their licences every 10 years, could improve driver behaviour on Irish roads.

Ahern added that wait times should be cut quickly as the lengthy queues have affected young people and students who may need a driving licence.

So we’re curious: Should drivers have to resit a theory test to renew their licence?
