Justin Trudeau 'hard launches' relationship with Katy Perry after meeting with Japanese politician

This was the first time that the California Gurls singer joined Canada’s former prime minister in a political setting.

JUSTIN TRUDEAU HAS seemingly used a meeting with Japan’s former prime minister to hard launch his relationship with Katy Perry.

Fumio Kishida said the former Canadian prime minister and “his partner” came to lunch yesterday.

He shared a picture of the group, which included Kishida’s wife Yuko, standing in front of a Christmas tree.

Trudeau responded to the post on X, saying: “Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko.”

This was the first time that Perry joined Trudeau in a political setting, but rumours of the relationship have swirled for months.

The couple was first seen together in July, following the 41-year-old singer’s split from actor Orlando Bloom after nine years together. They have one daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.

Trudeau (53) was married to Sophie Gregoire for 18 years. They separated in 2023 and now co-parent their three children, Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.

Trudeau was photographed holding hands with Perry at her birthday in October, showing the fireworks between them publicly for the first time.

While Perry has continued to make pop music, most recently releasing a single called Bandaids, her endeavours have become increasingly diverse.

In April of this year, she joined the all-female group that flew in a rocket to the edge of space.

Lasting slightly over 10 minutes, the flight brought the passengers beyond the Karman line — the internationally recognised boundary of space.
