Three teens arrested after garda pursuit on M1 motorway after car failed to stop in Dublin

Traffic on the M1 motorway was affected for a time.

THREE TEENAGERS HAVE been arrested following an hour-long pursuit from the Whitehall area of Dublin 9 to Co Louth in the early hours of this morning.

Shortly after 4:30 am this morning a car with three people failed to stop for gardaí in the Whitehall area of Dublin 9.

“A lengthy managed containment operation commenced and the car was successfully intercepted in County Louth shortly after 5:30am,” a garda spokesperson said.

Three individuals, who are all male and aged in their teens, were arrested under the Road Traffic Acts and brought to a garda station in the Dublin region.

Traffic on the M1 motorway was affected for a time but has since fully reopened to traffic. 

There were no injuries reported and investigations are ongoing.
