PARTING SHOT

The Dublin City Half Marathon.

Roughly 13,000 people took part in the Dublin Half Marathon today. Seán Tobin from Clonmel Athletic Club won the men’s race while Sorcha Nic Dhomhnaill from West Limerick Athletic Club won the women’s race.

“I got in front at 2km and probably pulled 100m ahead but I knew, based on the claps from the crowd, that if I let up at all from 16km onwards, that Paul could sweep by me, so I kept the foot down and felt incredibly smooth the whole way,” Tobin said after his win. 

Many people ran for charitable causes, while crowds lined the footpaths to cheer them on. Read the full story of the race here.
