The Dubliner was left single after her partner Kavan chose to rekindle his old couple Love Island

Ireland's Charleen Murphy dumped from Love Island after short but dramatic stint

The 27-year-old’s journey in the villa has come to an end after a dramatic re-coupling.

IRELAND’S CHARLEEN MURPHY has been dumped from the Love Island villa after her partner chose to go back to his previous couple.

Despite bringing Charleen into the main villa, 21-year-Kavan Murphy decided to re-kindle his relationship with 27-year-old Jasmine Muller.

For those of you who aren’t watching the show this year but are curious about how the Irish islanders are doing, here’s a quick round-up.

Charleen is a well known influencer from Dublin who was surrounded by months of speculation over whether she’d enter the villa this year.

Many of the cast each season are scouted by producers to appear on the show and several months ago rumours started swirling that Charleen had been approached.

She finally entered the villa as a ‘bombshell’, as they’re known in the show, sent in to try and tempt some of the boys away from their partners.

Charleen first appeared as a Casa Amor bombshell in the most dramatic week of the season.

Established couples are tested as they’re separated from their partners and 12 new boys and girls are sent to tempt the islanders away from their partners.

They spend several days separated before a dramatic ‘re-coupling’, where all the main cast members have to decide whether they want to stick with their partner or couple up with one of the new bombshells.

New boys and girls who are not picked are sent home immediately.

Charleen pulled off an impressive feat in extending her time on the show by making it back to the main villa. Though a lot of the boys tend to flirt with the Casa Amor girls each year, few actually decide to partner up with them.

After that drama, Charleen entered the villa with Kavan Murphy having charmed him away from his main villa partner, Jasmine.

Unfortunately for the Dubliner, Kavan and Jasmine quickly re-kindled upon his return.

This was despite Kavan’s Casa antics, which included kissing Charleen outside of challenges and sharing a bed with her.

The Dubliner was visibly upset for most of last night’s episode as Jasmine and Kavan were getting back on track. Though he did apologise to Charleen, many fans online have turned on Kavan, saying he has treated both women badly.

Though it’s the end of Charleen’s Love Island journey, there’s always a chance we could see her back in the villa for a future season of All Stars.

Fitzy spot looks shaky

Ireland’s hopes have been cut in half with Charleen’s exit and Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald is now the only Irish islander left in the villa.

Whe Fitzy’s casting was announced, it made headlines in Ireland because he left his place as one of the stars on Galway’s GAA team ahead of the Senior All Ireland championship this year to appear on the show.

The 25-year-old footballer has been coupled up with 28-year-old Lola Deal since the beginning of the show. The two are ‘exclusive’ and even exchanged ‘I love yous’within two weeks.

While the majority of the boys in Casa Amor spent their time flirting with the new girls, Fitzy stayed loyal to Lola, even sleeping outside to avoid sharing a bed with one of the bombshells.

However, Fitzy did land himself in some hot water during a raunchy challenge when he kissed and danced on two of the new girls.

One of these girls, 26-year-old Julia Mayska, was targeted by Lola once she entered the main villa.

The feud between the two girls has resulted in several arguments in recent days and fans online have not been happy with how Lola has treated Julia since her arrival.

In the last public vote before Casa Amor people were invited to vote for their favourite boy and favourite girl. In these results, Lola fell into the bottom three and the public’s opinion seems to have turned on her further since then.

Fitzy and Lola remain in the villa for now but could be in major trouble once the next public vote comes along, especially given that people in Ireland are ineligible to vote.
