GARDAÍ ARE EXPECTED to launch a murder investigation into the stabbing to death of a man in Bray, Co Wicklow yesterday.

The incident is believed to have occurred on Boghall Road near a playground. A local school located close to the incident has decided to stay closed today.

The man, named locally as Willie Moorehouse (35), died from injuries he sustained. Sources said the incident is being treated as a fatal assault.

During today a large amount of searches are underway across Bray and locations near the scene of the murder. Sources have confirmed that tools have been found in those searches and such tools have been used as weapons in the past.
