THE SMELL OF cannabis led officers to uncover a cannabis factory in Armagh.
A 36-year-old man and 21-year-old man have been arrested and are currently assisting the PSNI with its enquiries.
Cannabis valued between £750,000 and £1 million was discovered at the factory while a number of plants, cultivation equipment and associated items have been removed for further examination.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Wright described how scratch and sniff cards – which replicate the smell of cannabis growing – are being distributed to the public so they can detect the smell.
“We are pleased to have removed this amount of cannabis from circulation in our community and I would urge anyone who has information in relation to drugs to contact us immediately on 101.
