FIREFIGHTERS ATTENDED THE scene after a car went on fire outside O’Connell Bridge House on Burgh Quay in Dublin city centre.

An eyewitness told TheJournal.ie that two men were in the car but got out without being injured.

The car was in traffic when the fire started.

A unit of Dublin Fire Brigade was on the scene within minutes and quenched the blaze.

DFB told TheJournal.ie it received a call about the car shortly before 3pm.

It’s believed that the car was overheated and the fuel pipe burst.
