Man charged with serious assault of another man in Clondalkin

He is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.

GARDAÍ HAVE CHARGED a man aged in his 20s in connection with a serious assault earlier this week in Dublin.

Shortly after 6:15am on Wednesday, local gardaí, the Armed Support Unit and emergency services responded attended the scene involving two men at St Cuthbert’s Court, Clondalkin.

Upon arrival, gardaí discovered a male in his 20s with serious injuries.

The injured man was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A second man, also in his 20s, was arrested at the scene.

That man has now been charged with serious assault and possession of offensive weapons according to gardaí.

He is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning at approximately 10.30am.

Investigations are ongoing.
