IT MIGHT BE a relatively mild morning in most places but we’re sorry to tell you that won’t last.

Say goodbye to lovely temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees Celsius today as it will drop as low as -3 tomorrow.

The good news is that the rain tonight over Munster and Leinster will clear by late morning tomorrow and there will even be some sunny spells around the country.

Met Éireann says the start of the weekend will be “very cold” with widespread hard frost, icy roads and some pockets of fog. So, if you’re planning to drive tomorrow, take care on the roads.

The national forecaster has said milder weather will return by Monday so just wrap up warm this weekend, get some hot chocolate into you and everything will be fine.
