Each week, we take an Insta-worthy room in Ireland and show you how you can get the look yourself with high street buys.
This week, Diane Adair’s (@mudspalace) chic lounge in Co Cork was our inspiration.
“I wanted something totally different and unique,” says Diane. “I was originally going to choose a pink sofa, but I knew it would be impossible to keep clean. I love pink and green as a colour combo and I had my heart set on it.”
I think the dark green and black in this room is softened by introducing pink accessories.
“The sofas had to be comfortable because our old sofas were not. I also wanted a more formal, grown up space, and for the room to be bright and welcoming as it’s the first room you see when you walk through the front door.”
Anthropologie, EZ Living Furniture and Dunnes Stores were Diane’s main port of call when fitting out her lounge. Below are six high-street products that’ll help you get this look in your own home…
1. Fringe lampshade, €38.99, Littlewoods Ireland
A statement lampshade grabs attention straight away.
2. Gold photo frame, €9.99, Homesense
Gold accents around Diane’s lounge create a sense of luxury.
3. Cushion cover, €10, Ikea
Add a pop of colour with this cute cushion.
4. Velvet cushion cover, €7.99, H&M Home
If you don’t have a velvet couch, a cushion (or three) will do.
5. Mirror, €30.90 (£26.99), Wayfair
An antique-inspired mirror adds a vintage feel.
6. Large plant, €8.99, Lidl
There’s no such thing as too many plants – spot Diane’s in her (unused) fireplace.
