Christmas FM returned to the airwaves yesterday at midday to play festive tunes around the clock between now and the big day.
In it’s 16th year, the station is now available on a frequency in every county and online (you can find your frequency here).
Today, we want to know… Do you listen to Christmas FM?

@Jimmy Wallace: (1) the fairy tale of New York (or an edited version is played now rarely) , (2) Santa baby (considered controversial as it sounds promiscuous from the lady in the song), (3) baby it’s cold outside (a man & a woman seduce themselves into a normal heterosexual , NON-homosexual, relationship indoors)
@ubeenfamed: Have heard all of them over the last week on the radio. Santa wouldn’t like you telling lies. Discussions being sparked about lyrics =/= banning.
If you’re going to waffle about songs being banned when they’re not, at least be honest – the criticism about Baby It’s Cold Outside has nothing to do with the sexuality of the couple and is to do with some people (not me, couldn’t care less) feeling that there’s an element of the man trying to wear the woman down to get the ride when she doesn’t want to but well done exposing your little obsession.

Caught their test broadcast the other morning. Some songs really do bring you back to some great Christmas memories.
Pity those in retail who have to listen to these songs on loop every day they work! Torture Doesn’t describe it enough!!!

But “never” people, you keep staying on social media, scrolling for hate posts.

Maybe, most people just don’t regularly listen to the radio.

@Tom Dillon: there are the occasional Christmas songs on your everyday radio station but who wants to listen to 5 minutes of ads every 15 minutes on the off chance a Christmas song gets played?

@Chris: Well, coming from someone who’s giving the impression he keeps his tree and lights up all year long while blasting nothing but Christmas music, I’d stay the hell away from any party you’re throwing.

Those songs may not be played on certain radio stations, but they are not ‘banned’.
