CLASSIC CARS ARE real drivers’ cars and a sign of a true motoring enthusiast.
Many would argue that a classic car offers a pure form of motoring as most don’t have driver’s aids, luxuries or even safety equipment. It’s just you, the car, the open road and your driving skills. Sounds like a fun time to me.
We’ve rounded up five classic cars for your driving pleasure.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Supercharged, €59,950
This two-door coupe Camaro is in rubber-melting Super Sport guise with a gnarly looking supercharger dominating the hood. This car has gone through loads of modifications and the engine has been built out of a Chevy big block and bored to 8.4 litres.
This 1969 motor is a classic and therefore only €55 a year to tax and doesn’t go through the NCT.

1977 Porsche 911 SC Targa, €39,950
The Porsche 911 is an iconic car with a seriously stylish shape, punchy performance and excellent engagement. This is the SC (Super Carrera) Targa model.
It is finished in a brilliant Grand Prix White with contrasting anodised black trim on the windows and black handles and bumper and roll-bar. The 911 SC is having a bit of a revival and they appear to be the last of the affordable air-cooleds. This is one classic that could turn into a nice little investment.

1980 Toyota Landcruiser, €22,500
The Toyota Landcruiser a very capable and reliable 4×4 with military roots. It’s perfect for when the going gets rough. If you are looking for a vehicle that will still be running after the end of the world, this certainly is one of them.

1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th Anniversary Edition C3, €18,950
This is a Chevy ‘Vette with classic stingray body. The car has a V8 5.7-litre engine that sounds amazing giving you those driving sensations that only the American cars of back in the day can give you.
The car comes with a huge number of receipts for maintenance carried out over the years, and also has its original invoice.
Under €15k
1972 Fiat 500 Giardiniera, €14,995
The charming 500, or cinquecento, as it was known in Italy, was a mainstay throughout Europe in the late 1950s and remains so today. The Giardiniera is the estate version which also features funky ‘suicide doors’. This car has been comprehensively restored and comes complete with restoration invoices and Italian club documentation.
