Man arrested after €1.9m drug seizure in Co Wexford

Gardaí discovered 89kg of cannabis and 2kg of cocaine.

A MAN IN his 40s has been arrested after gardaí seized approximately €1.9m worth of controlled drugs in New Ross, Co Wexford yesterday. 

The drugs were discovered in a search of a premises, carried out by garda members attached to the Wexford Crime Unit.

They discovered 89kg of cannabis with an estimated value of €1.76m and 2kg of cocaine with an estimated value of €140,000.

The arrested man is currently detained at a garda station in Co Wexford.

The drugs will be sent for further analysis and investigations are ongoing..
