WHATEVER YOUR THOUGHTS on New Year’s Resolutions, everyone can benefit from being more active this coming year.

With a few more days to endure before the little ones head back to school and all at-home activities likely exhausted, we’ve rounded up six ways for the whole family to get moving.

Go trampolining at We Are Vertigo: Use up every last bit of energy at We Are Vertigo, with indoor trampolines, a climbing wall, soft play village and more. The company is also due to open a Ninja Warrior assault course and an inflatable action course later this month.

Suits: 4 years +. When: Monday-Sunday. Where: Queens Road, Belfast. Costs: £18 for trampoline and adventure combo. Find out more information and book here.

Skiing at Kilternan: Fancy going skiing without having to leave the country? Take a trip to the National Snowsports Centre in Kilternan for family skiing lessons for a day out like no other.

Suits: 7+ years. When: weeknights and weekends. Where: Kilternan, Co Dublin. Costs: €250 for a group of eight. Find out more information and book here.

Rainforest Adventure Golf: Take a shot at Rainforest Adventure Golf’s two 18-hole courses, with food and drinks available to fuel you throughout games.

Suits: all ages. When: Monday-Sunday. Where: Dundrum Town Centre. Costs: €4.80-€8.75 per child depending on age, €9.85 per adult. Find out more information here.

Carlingford Adventure Centre: With over 30 activities across land, sea and sky, including abseiling, canoeing and laser combat, you’ll be spoiled for choice at Carlingford Adventure Centre. Plus, you can take part as a family or leave the kids to it – it’s up to you (and your level of bravery).
