Firefighters tackle large blaze that ripped through Dublin recycling centre

DUBLIN FIRE BRIGADE responded to a large fire that broke out at a recycling centre in west Dublin last night.

At one point, eight fire engines were on the scene at the centre on Park West Road and the fire brigade said that four engines remained there this morning.

Firefighters received the call at 10:46pm last night and worked to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings.

Footage posted by Dublin Fire Brigade showed the fire tearing through the building at the recycling centre while firefighters tackled the blaze.

“At its height eight fire engines including two turntable ladders and an emergency tender responded,” the fire brigade said in a post on X.
