Each week, we take an Insta-worthy room in Ireland and show you how you can get the look yourself with high street buys.
This week, Yvonne Harte’s living room in Co Cork, with its textured fabrics and jewel tones, is our inspiration.
“I wanted a cosy, comfortable room that we could relax in in the evening, but it also needed to accommodate a play space for the kids,” says Yvonne.
We used an L-shaped sofa to divide the space. Colour for me brings a space to life and I added touches of brass in the light fittings which also tie in really well with the beautiful green armchair.
Harvey Norman, Made.com, H&M Home and Ikea were Yvonne’s main ports of call when fitting out her living room. Below are six high-street products that’ll help you get this look in your own home…
1. Fabyuleus Red Velvet Cushion, TK Maxx, €16.99
Brighten up a grey couch with some hits of colour, as Yvonne has done in her home.
2. Green Velvet Lamp Shade, H&M Home, €22.99
Add some luxury to your table lamp with this textured shade.
3. Paloma Footstool in Rose Pink, Cult Furniture, €61
This stool from the spring collection at Cult Furniture would brighten up any space.
4. Grey Medium Planter, Marks & Spencer, €27
Add a floor plant to your living room, bringing the outside in.
5. Brass Mirrored Tray, €17, Oliver Bonas
Follow Yvonne’s lead with some brass finishings, like this tray – a handy gathering point for keys and pens.
6. Blooming Cactus Print, €17.95 Abstract House
Yvonne went for a Graham Knuttel print in her room, but this abstract print brings the right mix of colour too.
