Each week, we take an Insta-worthy room in Ireland and show you how you can get the look yourself with high street buys.
This week, Lynn Ferrari’s (@myoldbrandnewhome) pop-of-colour kitchen in Co Waterford was our inspiration.
“Like many families, both myself and my husband grew up in houses where the kitchen was the heart of the home, so we wanted to carry that tradition through in our house,” says Lynn.
I think a room needs to work for whoever is using it. If it doesn’t, it’s badly designed and you won’t enjoy spending time in there. But I also think a room needs to make you feel good.
Want to get Lynn’s look for your own space? We’ve found the pieces you’ll need on the high-street.
1. Bar stool, Cult Furniture, £79 (approx. €90)
This is an exact match with Lynn’s bar stools, which look much more expensive than they are.
2. Pendant light, IKEA, €29
This black pendant light is darker than Lynn’s grey version, but looks just as good.
3. Vase, EZ Living Interiors, €40.50
A close match to Lynn’s, we love the pop of gold on this vase.
4. Artificial eucalyptus, IKEA, €3
If looking after greenery isn’t your strong point, pick up a faux eucalyptus plant and no one will know the difference.
5. Candle, Homesense, €7.99
Complement your pink bar stools with a matching candle.
6. Decorative tray, JYSK, €6.99
A gold tray on the island ties in with the cabinet handles – and this one is very budget-friendly.
