Each week, we step inside a reader’s home, and indulge in some copycat behaviour, creating a shopping list inspired by their interior style.
This week, Leah Burke’s (@nest_of_notions) delightful hallway was our inspiration.
“We initially didn’t have much of a plan or budget for the hallway,” says Leah.
“I had painted this picture with blues and pinks in it and had nowhere else to put it, so we ended up using that as our starting point.
“We wanted to find some good looking storage for all the things that end up thrown on the hall floor. When we picked up the pink storage bench, it gave the space a bit more purpose and all started to come together.”
Made.com, Ikea and H&M were Leah’s main posts-of-call when decorating this space. Below are six high-street items that’ll help you get the look in your own home…
1. Tray table, €19, Ikea
This tray table is an exact match for Leah’s, and is a handy option for small hallways.
2. Pink storage stool, €29.50, Aldi
This stool isn’t as big as Leah’s bench, but it’s just as pretty.
3. Patterned rug, £23.99 (€26.02), Wayfair
Leah picked up her rug in a market in Marrakech, so this one from Wayfair will have to do.
4. Round velvet cushion, €19.99, H&M
We love how this cushion matches the tray table.
5. Artificial flowers in jar, €13, Next
Whether they’re real or fake, flowers brighten up any room.
6. Bee Happy cushion, €18, Next
Choose a fun cushion in the hallway to make for a positive first impression when you walk in the door.
