IF YOU’VE LONG thought about having a walk-in wardrobe or somewhere you can relax while getting ready in the morning, a dressing room is probably high on your ‘dream home’ wish list.
This week we’re looking at four family homes around the country with their own dressing rooms – from a modern five-bed with sea views in Co Louth to a three-bed in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
A five-bed detached property, St Anthony’s is located on an elevated site and enjoys views across Ennis town. The redbrick residence sits on 0.5 acres with landscaped gardens surrounding, while Ennis Golf Club is just across the road to the front of the property.
Inside, the accommodation spans 2,583 sq ft and includes features such as a solid mahogany front door, an extension to the living room, solid wood floors and a marble fireplace. There’s a living room on each of the two floors, while the master bedroom benefits from built-in wardrobes and a separate dressing room with a shower unit.
Located in the quiet Cork countryside by Glounthaune village, Coulea House is an attractive property on 0.4 acres. The five-bed detached house boasts a south-facing garden which overlooks pasture lands, making the property feel far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, while in reality Cork city is just a 15-minute drive away.
The interior is bright and spacious, while dark details and finishes in the hallway, living room and kitchen add a striking contrast. There is one bedroom on the ground floor and four on the first floor, with two en suite bathrooms, a main bathroom and a dressing room also here. The latter features fitted mirrored wardrobes and drawers for ample storage space, while a Velux window allows natural light to flood in.
A three-bed property, 93 Meadow Hill is an ideal family home located 10 minutes from Letterkenny town. The semi-detached residence comes to the market in excellent condition, with an extension to the rear and a detached garage. The extension formed a spacious family room, complete with laminated timber flooring, a solid fuel stove and double doors to a tiered decking area.
All three bedrooms are located on the first floor, with one currently used as a dressing room and walk-in wardrobe. There’s plenty of parking to the front, while there are several schools in and around the short drive to Letterkenny town.
Positioned on an elevated site, 6 Sea View Drive lives up to its name, with views of Dundalk Bay and the Cooley Mountains. It’s a 15-minute walk from the seaside village of Blackrock, meaning homeowners can enjoy daily strolls along the beach and coastline. The property has an A-rating for energy efficiency, resulting in lower energy waste and, in turn, lower bills.
The five-bed house comes to the market in turn-key condition, with a contemporary, stylish interior, south-facing rear garden and picture windows throughout. No 6 benefits from three storeys, with two large bedrooms and a bathroom on the third floor. On the first floor, the master bedroom is particularly impressive, with stunning views, a large dressing room and an en suite bathroom.
