Each week, we take an Insta-worthy room in Ireland and show you how you can get the look yourself with high street buys.
This week, Isobel Waine’s (@izzys_home) minimalist modern bathroom was our inspiration.
“This is the only bathroom/toilet in the house for a family of four, and at 3 square metres it is very small – especially when we are all in there at the same time, which happens a lot,” says Isobel.
“The main thing I have tried to achieve in this space is to maximise storage whilst still keeping it feeling airy and welcoming. Having an inbuilt vanity unit under the sink is a brilliant use of space, and this medicine cabinet is really spacious for fitting everything you need, but it is still neat so you don’t bang your head when you’re using the sink,” she says.
The baskets are also brilliant for storing everyone’s bits and pieces in a way that keeps them accessible, whilst making the surfaces less cluttered.
IKEA, Amazon and Argos were Isobel’s main port of call when fitting out this room. Below are six high-street products that’ll help you get this look in your own home…
1. Rattan storage basket, €14.99, H&M
Keep toiletries and products hidden in a chic rattan basket, like Isobel has.
2. Pin-up print, €15, Fy
A vintage-inspired print adds a pop of colour and sense of fun to the bathroom.
3. Quote print, €9.85, Desenio
We love Isobel’s black and white print, which can be added to any space.
4. Reusable pump bottles, €17.88 (£15.99), Amazon
Putting all of your toiletries in matching bottles is an easy way to make your bathroom look organised.
5. Emerald green candle, €13, Next
If you can’t re-paint your bathroom, adding a few accessories, like candles, in the same colour is an easy way to update the theme.
6. Hanging plant basket, €6, Ikea
Make the most of small spaces by keeping your plants off valuable counter tops and hang them from the ceiling instead.
