What’s this then?
This is the seriously slinky and sexy Jaguar F-Type 2.0 and it can be yours for €80,595.
What’s so special about it?
The Jaguar F-Type is a stunning looking car and it drives like a dream too. It has a cracking new four-cylinder engine under its long bonnet and it comes with a very tempting price tag too, for such a desirable motor.
Any standout design features?
The whole car is a work of art. It’s head-turning design combines both power and grace with some bold proportions.
It has a seductively long bonnet, a slinky sloping roofline and muscular, upswept rear haunches. It is a classic shape but one that looks thoroughly modern especially in this R-Dynamic specification.
This particular model stands out thanks to its 19-inch alloys, body-coloured bumpers and mirrors, R-Design body kit and large switchable active exhaust.
And what powers this Jaguar F-Type?
This Big Cat is powered by a new four-cylinder 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 300hp at 5,500rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,500-4,500rpm. It is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission that is slick and quick. It takes just 5.7 seconds to go from zero to 100km/h and the car goes onto a top speed of 249km/h.
To compensate for the loss of two cylinders, Jaguar has tuned the engine’s intake and exhaust noise in an attempt to get it as close as possible to the six-pot’s soundtrack. It’s an approach that works, because the F-Type certainly sounds melodious.
Does the Jaguar F-Type have any luxurious touches?
Oh course it does, it’s a Jag, darling! Luxurious features of this particular example include a fixed panoramic glass roof, a leather and suedecloth interior, heated sports seats, and a stereo camera which controls the autonomous emergency braking system. There’s also R-Dynamic embossed tread plates and the centre console is finished in Delta Aluminium.
But who would drive this car?
Those in the know who are looking for a stunning sports car at an attractive price. The Jaguar F-Type is a car for driving enthusiasts who like the finer things in life.
