A WEXFORD MAN is ending 2014 on a very high note after discovering he’s won €350,000.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought a €6 Lotto ticket with Plus on 29 November in Centra on the Errigal Road, Drimnagh, Dublin 12.
He won the top prize in the Lotto Plus 1 draw that evening, worth €350,000, but remained oblivious to his good fortune for a month.
“I just found out yesterday,” he said.
I scanned the ticket in the shop and it said to contact the National Lottery, so I thought there must be a problem with the barcode or something. Then I checked it on the website later. I couldn’t believe it!
He isn’t the only person who has extra reason to celebrate as we ring in the New Year.
A Dublin man struck it lucky on Christmas Eve when he bought a Lotto ticket in Spar at the Maple Centre on Navan Road. He found out he had won €350,000 on St. Stephen’s Day.
