Woman and young child found dead at house in Co Tipperary

Gardaí investigating after bodies were discovered at a property in Carrick-on-Suir.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING following the discovery of the bodies of a woman and a young child at a property in Co Tipperary.

The bodies were found at a house in Carrick-on-Suir on Thursday afternoon.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination and investigations are ongoing. Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene.

It’s understood that the incident is being treated as a personal tragedy.

In a statement this afternoon, a garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of an incident in Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary this afternoon.”
