LOVE ISLAND 2026 is in the midst of its most chaotic week, with the two Irish islanders in the midst of the action.
Galway GAA star Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald has been in the villa since the start but Dublin influencer Charleen Murphy has yet to secure her place in the villa proper.
The 27-year-old entered the show as a Casa Amor bombshell, trying to turn some of the boys’ heads to book her spot in the main house.
Every season Casa Amor is the biggest test of all the villa’s established couples as they’re separated from their partners and 12 new boys and girls are sent in to see if their connections are as strong as they think.
They spend several days separated before a dramatic ‘re-coupling’, where all the main cast members have to decide whether they want to stick with their partner or couple up with one of the new bombshells.
New boys and girls who are not picked are sent home immediately.
With elimination on the line, Irish viewers could find out Charleen’s re-coupling fate as early as tonight.
Charleen has a good shot at extending her time on the show as she has already managed to catch the attention of fan-favourite Kavan Murphy.
21-year-old Kavan is coupled up with 28-year-old Jasmine Muller in the main villa, though they decided to take a break just before the boys were sent to Casa Amor.
Charleen said she was interested in Kavan when she arrived and since then they have been inseparable, sharing a bed and several kisses outside of challenges.
For the Dubliner, Kavan is definitely her best shot at getting back to the main villa, if she has fully turned his head away from Jasmine.
Jasmine has stayed loyal to so far, meaning if he does choose to bring Charleen back, there will surely be plenty of drama.
Galway boy
As for Galway GAA star Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, he has been coupled up with 28-year-old Lola Deal since the beginning of the show. The two are ‘exclusive’ and even exchanged ‘I love yous’within two weeks.
Fitzy has been mostly loyal in Casa Amor, even choosing to sleep outside rather than sharing a bed with one of the new girls.
On Monday’s show the 25-year-old did land himself in some hot water when participating in a game of dares.
The challenge saw the two villas go head-to-head in a series of raunchy dares where points were awarded for their commitment and passion.
Though the main villa won overall, Fitzy earned a point for his dare which involved kissing and dancing on two of the Casa girls prompting some fans to say that he took it too far for someone in an exclusive couple.
His current partner Lola, who has stayed loyal, also seems to have fallen out of favour with fans as she landed in the bottom three last week for a vote on viewers favourite girl and favourite boy.
This week has been full of drama in both villas.
Tuesday’s episode was thrown into chaos as the girls in the main villa received pictures of their partners with captions like ‘the boy who’s been the easiest to turn’ and ‘the boy who’s enjoying his lads holiday to the fullest’.
The pictures showed the boys getting cosy with the new girls.
With some of the boys flirty behaviour now exposed to their partners, the Casa Amor recoupling is set to be explosive, regardless of whether any of them choose to partner up with someone new.
However, with Fitzy’s place in the main villa secure for now, all eyes are on whether Kavan brings Charleen back and the drama that could follow once Jasmine sees he’s betrayed her.
There’s no official word on when the Casa Amor recoupling will take place but based on previous years it is likely to happen on Wednesday or Thursday night’s show.
