Luas tram and car collide in minor incident

The incident occurred at the junction of Abbey St and Capel St in Dublin city centre.

A LUAS TRAM and a car were involved in a minor incident in the city centre of Dublin this morning.

The two vehicles collided at the junction of Abbey St and Capel St around 10.40am.

Gardaí said that no one was injured in the incident, and the tram only suffered material damage.

Due to the incident, the Luas Red Line is only running between Tallaght/Saggart and Smithfield only. There is no Luas tram service between Smithfield and the Point/Connolly.

However, Dublin Bus will honour all valid Luas tickets for the duration of the disruption.

Luas Green Line is operating as normal.
